It’s no secret—sorority girls can be over the top sometimes. Crazy, outlandish Big/Little reveals? Large tutus on Bid Day? Hours upon hours of practicing that skit/chant for Greek Week? #NoShame.
But where we might take the cake in all things outrageously amazing is chapter houses. After our inspiring, eye opening tour of the University of Mississippi’s Sorority Row, we were compelled to scour the nation for America’s most beautiful, jaw-dropping chapter houses. So here’s the fruit of our labor…be prepared for the mini-heart attack that will ensue from these housing beauties.
University of Colorado Boulder, Delta Gamma
Straight out of a fairy tale, DG’s house at the University of Colorado, Boulder, is the perfectly idyllic mountain lodge that instantly transforms into a winter wonderland when it snows. Imagine frolicking in front of this house!
University of Arkansas, Kappa Kappa Gamma
Newly renovated in Fall 2013, KKG at the University of Arkansas basically live in a Southern palace. At over 46,000 square feet, the house boasts a grand staircase that any Elle Woods reenactment enthusiasts would beg to use.
University of Alabama, Phi Mu
We would be remiss if we didn’t include the Tide in this list. Alabama sorority houses officially passed Texan houses in terms of cost and space last year, and trust it, the results are stunning. Just take a look at Phi Mu’s tri-level beauty.
University of Texas, Alpha Xi Delta
Speaking of Texas, check out the wrap around balconies on this one! There’s just something about the florals all around the house that make it quintessentially southern.
University of Washington, Sigma Kappa
Loving these fairy houses? Sigma Kappa took that to a whole new level—their house looks like a true castle! We’re digging the French-inspired hedges and towers…sign us up for the next ball!
University of Florida, Delta Delta Delta
If you can just imagine the most beautiful antebellum plantation mansion, then you’re seeing the Tri-Delta house at the University of Florida.
