Do it yourself.

Put all your sister’s expert DIY skills to use and craft your own bid day signs, banners, and photo frames. All you need is an artsy sister, paint, brushes, cardstock and a large white sheet to paint the cutest bid day banners and signs. We personally love hand-painted banners because they can be more customized to your chapter and your theme. Add all the hashtags and inside jokes you want. Make sure you have a trusted group of sisters to get together the day of bid day to craft the cutest props with all your new member’s names on them the moment you get your list. They double as cute props and decor for photo-ops AND you’ll have all the materials from making the signs anyway!

Be Resourceful

Recycle your recruitment decor and save big time! Don’t spend extra money on bid day decorations when you have years of stored decor from recruitment and past bid days. Take inventory of all the tule, flowers, table cloths, centerpieces, etc. and either plan a theme off the colors you already have or make sure you can use all the decor throughout recruitment and bid day to stretch your budget that much further. Even if you use some of the same decor from recruitment, mix and match and switch up the location of the decor and no one will ever notice, they will all be too excited meeting all their new sisters.

Be Your Own DJ

DJ’s are always really fun but let’s be real, you provide them with a list of songs you want them to play anyway, so you’re already halfway there. There’s always one sister who secretly wants to break out her DJ skills so have her be in charge of the music all night. Set up a large speaker, connect Spotify and you are set to dance the night away! The best part is your chapter is in control and can request whatever songs they want.
