Internship Length: January 10th-April 25th
As a PR intern, you’ll be collaborating with our Marketing and Social Media teams. A typical day for our PR interns will include responding to and coordinating sorority philanthropy event donations and promotion, scouring social media and the web for potential events to sponsor, and managing A-List’s promotions calendar. This position requires someone who has strong communication skills, is outgoing and can communicate with leaders from other sorority chapters and demonstrate creativity and high level of comfort with social media.
Creativity and ability to write are a must for this position. If you’re interested in blogging, you’ll get hands on experience supporting our content curation and creation in this role. Key responsibilities will include drafting blog posts, reaching out to chapters, bloggers and sorority women for features, and staying up to date on the latest blog/influencer trends. You’ll think up story ideas, pitch these ideas, write your stories and brainstorm pictures and images to support your posts. We’ll be taking our content to the next level and we need your help!
As a Graphic Design intern, you’ll brainstorm and help to create a wide variety of graphics and images such as Pinterest graphics, social media ads, branding materials, and blog post graphics. You’ll also support our Editorial team in the creation of pinworthy graphics and content upgrades that provide real value to sorority women. You’ll work throughout the semester to create a digital library of downloadable/printable graphics for our customers. Our Graphic Design intern must understand our brand identity and create graphics that fit with our overall color, looks and aesthetic. We use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator so experience with these are a must.
The Photography intern will support our Editorial and Marketing team in taking photos for our website, blog and social media channels. Additionally, the photography intern will help with product photography, editing photos in Photoshop and in Lightroom, styling shoots, and brainstorming ideas for our campaigns. The photography intern must have experience shooting with DSLRs and know Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Our social media intern’s daily routine includes pinning pins to our boards, writing captions, scheduling out content, and engaging with our audience on our various social platforms. The social media intern with help coordinate our giveaway calendar, track and promote positive sorority news and events on our social media outlets and message sorority women and chapters requesting to feature their pics on our outlets. Also, our social media intern will help track our analytics week/monthly and adjust strategies based on these.
